Hong Kong Adviser Chan on New Leader Lee, Covid Fight

Bernard Chan, a financier and convener of Hong Kong Chief Executive’s advisory Executive Council, discusses what to expect from John Lee, the city’s new leader, and the government’s efforts in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic. Lee, named the next chief executive in a rubber-stamp election after Beijing asserted greater control over the financial hub, vowed to strengthen national security and accelerate the city’s integration with mainland China. Chan, who is also one of Hong Kong’s deputies to China’s National People’s Congress, speaks on “Bloomberg Daybreak: Asia.”
